About being a MP:
It is a pleasure and an honour to represent this amazing region and as Tukituki’s elected MP I am committed to realising the ambitions and potential of our region.
I love watching our region grow and I am incredibly ambitious for Hawke’s Bay and New Zealand.
This is my fourth year as the National Party, Member of Parliament for Tukituki, Hawke’s Bay, and at the last election it was humbling to see my winning margin increase from 2402 to 7811, thank-you.
About Backing the Bay:
Chris Tremain and I are the Hawke’s Bay MP team. We champion and make sure that our region’s point of view is heard in Parliament.
We work hard at “Backing The Bay” and providing leadership for our region is my mission.
About Me:
Like many New Zealanders I have worked extensively overseas and I believe these experiences have given me the key skills needed to help Hawke’s Bay flourish.
Prior to being a politician I had a career in investment banking. After working for seven years for the Bank of New Zealand (1985-1992), I completed another seven years with Credit Suisse Financial Products in London and Tokyo (1993-2000). I resigned in 2000, having had responsibilities for European, Japanese and Pacific interest rate risk Management
In 2000 my wife and I came home. We are raising our two children in this fantastic region and when relaxing I love nothing more than being with family and friends, watching the rugby, mucking around at the beach or walking through the bush.
We are here for the long term and I am personally committed to doing the best I can for our province.
