ANZAC Day 2009
April 23, 2009
23 April 2009
Anzac Day is not only a day to remember New Zealanders killed in war and to honour those who have served. It is also a day to acknowledge the values of our defence forces, says Tukituki MP Craig Foss
“Veterans and serving personnel have a spirit of service, sacrifice, and courage,” says Foss “Of great importance to them are the ideals of comradeship, integrity, commitment and discipline that they learn while serving our country.
“On Anzac Day I am honoured to be able to take time out to remember the efforts of New Zealanders who served in our armed forces and reflect on the values that are still important to us today.”
