Hockey New Zealand today announced it has secured a new Sponsorship agreement with Kelt Capital Ltd, endorsing the Kelt Capital Hockey Academy, based in Napier, as a Coaching Partner of Hockey New Zealand in relation to the National Women’s High performance programme.
As part of the agreement the Kelt Capital Hockey Academy Head Coach and Managing Director, Greg Nicol, will conduct a range of coaching and talent identification programmes designed to assist in the development of young players through to International Black Stick Level. He will also be responsible for identifying, developing and coaching the Tiger Turf New Zealand Junior Academy girls’ team whilst working in a specialist coaching capacity with other National Teams.
Under the terms of the agreement Kelt Capital and the Kelt Capital Hockey Academy will endorse and utilise Hockey New Zealand’s Coaching and Development programmes.
Hockey CEO Hilary Poole says: “We are delighted with the support Hockey will receive from the Kelt Capital Hockey Academy, Greg Nicol is one of New Zealand’s leading coaches and to have him actively involved in coaching high performance levels will be really beneficial for our talented young players”.
Kelt Capital Managing Director Sam Kelt says the new coaching alliance is an exciting initiative and will provide a clearly defined programme and pathway for young hockey players from the age of six through to
future Black Stick level. The new sponsorship agreement with Hockey New Zealand is an expansion of Kelt Capital’s commitment to youth development and showcases the Kelt Capital Academy as a hockey centre of excellence.
