Influenza Response System working

‘I am pleased to see that schools and colleges are being very responsible with their immediate and appropriate reaction of isolating sick students,’ said Tukituki MP Craig Foss.
This response after Lindisfarne College isolated a number of boys and teachers who have recently returned from North America, with three of the boys consequently developing flu symptoms.
Mr Foss also added that he commended Lindisfarne College on their prompt response and their following of correct procedures.
‘The isolation of the students is a precautionary measure,” said Mr Foss “and shows that our response systems are working. I would like to assure the public that that the Government is working with the local DHB and keeping them up to date with latest developments.”
