Local MP helps in bus shelter construction

May 12, 2010

On Thursday 11th May Craig Foss continues to take part in experiencing local jobs done by local people.
“I am going to be part of the construction of a new bus shelter that Total Span Hastings are building through the Totalspan Undercover Kids Bus Shelter Programme” said Craig.
The Totalspan Undercover Kids Bus Shelter Programme is managed by a charitable trust that was established in 2008 to help protect children waiting for buses on rural school routes.
Undercover Kids is a nationwide, long-term initiative, which has already seen 194 bus shelters allocated to schools and communities across the country. In 2010 a further 100 bus shelters for rural and provincial school bus routes to help keep our children safe will be provided.
“I am looking forward to donning my builders gear to ensure that our rural kids are safe while waiting for their ride to school” Craig said.
“I believe the safety of our children is paramount. I would like to acknowledge the generosity of Total Span in this project of the Undercover Kids Bus Shelter Programme. It is one way of showing support for the rural community’ Craig said.
