Craig Foss helps out with DARE

Craig Foss local MP for Tukituki supported the DARE programme at the Onekawa pools on Wednesday 12th May. 14, 10
“I was asked to join in the celebrations of the DARE programme that Peterhead School has been promoting by joining the classes at Onekawa pools” said Craig.
The DARE Foundation, Skills for Life programme seek to challenge children, parents and the community by promoting the development of decision making, assertiveness, self responsibility and self esteem, enabling individuals to make informed and supported choices for a good lifestyle.
“It was great to see such happy well behaved kids just enjoying good clean fun. I donned a DARE t-shirt and put my bbque skills to work’ Craig said. “I was amazed not only by the children’s great manners but by how many sausages that they could pack away!”
The DARE programme is supported by the NZ Police and the relationships that are formed from this involvement is invaluable.
“This programme certainly is promoting the right stuff and I encourage all schools to take advantage of the programme”
