‘Question Time’ comes to Napier

August 27, 2009

MP for Napier Chris Tremain will be holding his own version of Parliament’s ‘Question Time’ by way of a public meeting.

The idea is to give Napier constituents the opportunity to question him on current issues and to get their feedback on Government initiatives.

The meeting will be held on Monday the 31st August at 5pm at the Memorial Square Community Lounge, Clive Square, Napier.

Chris will be speaking on the Government’s new Youth unemployment initiative, which includes Community Max and Job Ops.  The new Kiwi sport initiative, which will provide $45 million in direct funding to schools over the next four years will also be topical.  He will also be welcoming feedback on the proposed National Cycleway.

“In addition to this I know that ACE funding changes have been of concern to a section of the community and I welcome questions about this.”

Chris invites all businesses, community groups and members of the public to come along.
